Vehicles in Germany's City Discovered Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Police stated they were alerted by a individual who discovered a vehicle in Hanau smeared with red-colored fluid

Roughly fifty vehicles have been smeared with what appears to be human blood in the German town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.

Cars, building surfaces and postboxes were marked, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they announced in a release.

Police report they were notified late on Wednesday, when a resident noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored substance.

The liquid had been drawn in the form of a swastika, they stated.

Police then found numerous other vandalized automobiles and residential walls in the surrounding area.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation banning the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Police state preliminary tests suggest the fluid was likely human bodily fluid.

"There is still no clue as to its source; officials are currently not informed of any injuries in relation with the occurrence," they stated.

City officials said they were attempting "to solve the mystery" and have asked to the residents for information.

A senior political figure said the attack made him speechless and required to be resolved promptly.

"This event affects the center of Hanau and reopens the pain of the far-right terrorist attack half a decade ago," he stated on social media, recalling the death of nine people by a gunman targeting individuals of foreign heritage in February 2020.
